Alicia Lucas, DVM, PhD, is a Veterinary Intern at MedVet Silicon Valley.
Dr. Lucas attended the University of Manchester in Manchester, England, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in zoology. She then earned a Master of Science degree in veterinary epidemiology from the Royal Veterinary College in London, England, a Doctor of Philosophy degree in veterinary sciences from Massey University in Auckland, New Zealand, and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of California Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in Davis, CA.
Dr. Lucas enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine and has a particular passion for emergency medicine and surgery. One of her favorite parts of the veterinary profession is the opportunity to combine fast-paced problem-solving with hands-on patient care while helping animals when they need it most. She also enjoys building trust with pet owners and partnering with them throughout their pets’ care and recovery.
When not caring for patients, Dr. Alicia Lucas enjoys hiking and swimming with her two small but mighty terriers.
