Emily Sachs, DVM, Diplomate, ACVECC is a Board-certified Specialist in Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care at MedVet Vancouver, where she has been a part of the team since 2023.
Dr. Sachs earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Marquette University and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine. She completed an emergency and critical care internship at Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital and an emergency and critical care residency at Veterinary Specialty Hospital of San Diego
Dr. Sachs is passionate about all areas of veterinary medicine. She has special interests in mechanical ventilation, toxicities, and trauma. Her favorite part of being a veterinarian is seeing her patients discharged from the hospital and wagging their tails as they are reunited with their loving families.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Emily Sachs keeps active by hiking, backpacking, running, and adventuring with her two dogs and cat. Dr. Sachs also fosters kittens and orphaned baby squirrels, giving them a loving start to life.
